Thursday evening match was a struggle for most, the anglers may have been full of festive spirit, but the fish certainly wern't. The colour from the recent heavy rain was starting to drop out and the water was a nice 'fishy' colour, there was very little tow or natural movement and the fish didn't seem to be in a feeding mood.

Top rod on the evening was Dave Clutterbuck, he caught his first bream from the docks for ages, and along with some roach, dace and ruffe he weighed in 7lb 0oz from peg 6, all caught on his maver pole with groundbait and maggot.

Jason Bird took runner up spot with 5lb 8oz which was made up of 1 bream and a skimmer, caught on a liquidised bread feeder. Dave Shore was third with 4lb 12oz and a similar catch to the winner.

Merv Sivell was fourth with 1lb 12oz a solitary skimmer caught on the bread feeder and John Macey also had a solitary skimmer of 1lb 0oz for fifth place.
