At last the docks are starting to fish well, not massive weight but everybody is catching and in with a chance of winning a few bob. The roach have started to feed, about a month later than normal, could this be due to the long cold spring we have had???

Conditions were good for the Mud Dock stretch, a tinge of colour and a warm gentle breeze, made it a real pleasure to be out fishing, and the fish were feeding.

Top rod on the night was Dave Shore with 8lb 13oz, all roach and dace on the pole with maggot. Second was Merv Sivell with 8lb 4oz, all roach and dace. Dave Clutterbuck was third with 6lb 12oz followed by Pete Sivell with 6lb 4oz, all roach and dace on the pole.

John Macey was fifth with 6lb 2oz and Andy Curry was sixth with 6lb 0oz
