As its name suggests, this rod has been designed for lure and shad fishing from either the bank or a boat. Rigged to take a fixed spool reel and with a sensitive tip and plenty of power in the lower blank this rod is ideal for cast and retrieve work with shads in the 7 - 15cm range. Best used with 12 or 15lb test braid and lead heads of between 12 and 21g but can also be used for trolling small crankbaits for Pike, perch and Zander.

The shorter of two rods in this range which has been specially developed for casting and retrieving rubber shads of between 7 - 15cm with lead heads of between 12 and 21g. Being the shorter of the two rods makes the 2.40m Lure and Shad better for boat fishing and is also good for use during vertical fishing where it can be fished as an extra dead rod placed in the rod holder. Lures such as shad raps and jointed rapala's can also be used on this rod and the use of braided lines of 12 or 15lb test is recommended
