The fishing lately has been rock hard, there are no roach, dace or other small fish feeding, the regulars who have been fishing the docks for 20 odd years have never seen it like this. The only fish that have been feeding for the past month are bream, and yet conditions looked perfect.

Making the best of the situation was Pete Sivell, who won his third match on the trot, with 3 bream for 7lb 12oz on the ground bait feeder with maggot on the hook. Second was his brother Merv Sivell with 2 bream for 5lb 12oz. Andy Curry was third with 3lb 1oz, 1 bream and Jason Bird was fourth with 2lb 12oz, just 1 bream. Everybody else fishing the match blanked, roll on the warmer weather.
