We stock a large range of rod pods from Nash, Fox, Matrix, Cygnet, Daiwa and Korum. This range will cover all different types of water from the largest european reservoirs to the smallest secluded estate lake. There are available in a variety of sizes which are designed for 2, 3 or 4 rods. The 4 rod models are ideal if you are fishing a large open water, more like an inland sea than a lake, where you need stability, as the big waves come crashing into the shore along with the high winds that come with them, you don't want your complete set up getting knocked over. The 2 rod designs are more compact and are perfect for small intimate waters where stealth is important, these compact designs are very quick to set up, which is important if you are the type of angler who likes to keep on the move after the fish. The heavier, more stable rod pods are made from strong and sometimes heavier materials like stainless steel where as the lighter more compact models are made from aluminium or even carbon fibre, therefore saving weight, which is great if you have a long way to carry all your gear. Modern day barbel anglers are now using rod pods on big rivers like the Trent or Severn, they are setting their pods so that their rod tips are high in the air and getting as much line out of the water as possible, much the same as when fishing into a wind on big waters, it helps if you can get your lines clear of the breakers.
