Korda is the brand that brought carp fishing into the 20th century, they lead others follow, they have set the standard so high that everyone else just copies them. Korda was set up in 1993 by Danny Fairbrass, he has been a true pioneer of modern carp fishing, designing and manufacturing innovative products that he would use himself, and lots of other top carp anglers are now using these products, all over Europe.

Danny first started making his tackle on his kitchen table, making carp leads, whilst he worked at NatWest bank before he gave in his notice to pursue his dream in carp fishing. He started out exhibiting at carp shows and the business grew very quickly, within six years he had a full catalogue of carp tackle and accesories. It was about then that Damian Clark and John Hannent joined the company giving it a new branding that is Korda to this day, the bright green.

Korda have an experienced team of carp anglers, all out on the banks designing new tackle that want to use themselves, head of the team is Danny Fairbrass followed by operations director Damian Clarke, the rest of the team consists of Ali Hamidi, Tom Dove, Darrell Peck, Simon Scott, Pete Castle, Ian Poole, Neil Spooner, Jonathan Mann, Ian Bailey, Elliott Gray, Rob Willingham, Ed Betteridge, Billy Flowers, Jamie Londors, Mark Bryant, Martin Pick, James Turner, Dave Finn, Craig Runham, Matt Jackson, Oli Bowles, Scott Lloyd, Jake Taylor, Brad Greening, Barry Llloyd and Luke Vallory.

Korda have been at the forefront of digital production producing the classic Underwater Series of programmes and more recently Thinking Tackle, all of which have been on Sky Sports since 2006. Korda have also put back into Carp Angling by supporting the England World Carp Angling team which won gold in 2015. Korda are continually trying to improve their current range of tackle to catch even more carp for anglers, they now make everything from hooks to clothing.
