Nash Scope Carp Rod
Kevin Nash has come up with what we think is the most block busting concept in rod design for decades. Scope rods feature a retractable butt section, enabling the overall pack down length of your rod to be reduced to the minimum with no detriment to the action of the rod.
From this innovative idea, Kevin then experimented with rod lengths, and this is where it got really interesting as he discovered that reducing the length of a carp rod to 9ft made it a dream to use in all situations except at extreme range - and note, we mean extreme range, as our casting king Terry Edmonds has put a lead over 170 yards with a 9ft Scope.
Scope Rods are ultra-light, further enhanced by utilising the incredible new SS304 rings.
Available in two lengths, the more radical 9ft and the traditional length of 10ft - the length Richard Walker chose for the legendary MK4 carp rod.
With its retractable butt innovation this provides a pack down size of 44ins for a 9ft Scope and 50ins for the 10ft Scope, enabling the angler to carry the most compact kit ever designed for carp fishing.
9ft / 10ft 3.5lb
The choice for big pits, reservoirs or extreme rivers, performing with leads of 3-4 oz, and at casting ranges up to 150 yards / metres. With additional power in the mid-section to handle heavier leads, solid PVA bags and Method feeders the 3.5 lb models are perfect for bigger carp, and weedier venues where their additional power helps keep hooked fish on the move. Kevin Nash has used these with great success at over 300 metres, yet the forgiving tip ensures playing fish at close range remains a pleasure.
9ft / 10ft 4.5lb
An unashamed extreme Scope, only for the hardcore. Capable of tackling monster carp in the most challenging venues around the world. Handles leads of 4-5 oz, at ranges in excess of 170 yards / metres! These blanks are true utility rods. Powerful but progressive, they will find favour with Scope users who demand rods to cast spods long distances or for marker work whilst still retaining the unique reduced pack down length. Already in use on some of the colossal European venues where increased power handles heavier leads and giant carp with ease, their shorter length makes placing rigs and playing carp from boats more practical than ever. Equally at home with predators such as pike and catfish, and even powerful saltwater species like tope and smoothhound the Scope 4.5lb is a specialist big fish tool in the same small Scope package.
New sizes, due to the fantastic success of these rods, 9ft 3.5lb, 9ft 4.5lb, 10ft 3.5lb and 10ft 4.5lb
