G-Force Tackle Hooks

G-Force Tackle are a new company to the angling market, but bring decades of angling industry experience to the table. Simon Healy is well respected in the angling trade, and joined the company after 8 years with a different company to head up the development of products being bought to the market.

All of the G-Force hooks are finished in a muted neutral "G-Cammo" coating which preserves allows the hook to be sharpened properly at the factory without the coating interfering. The coating also is non-reflective so can be used with confidence in clear, shallow water conditions. The points are also honed to a level that is rare straight out of the packet meaning that the need to sharpen them before casting out is lessened - although the metal used is still suitable for hand sharpening further should you wish to do so (although doing this will remove the G-Cammo coating).

The GF Curved is not your typical curved shank pattern. It is essentially a standard pattern with a slightly inturned eye to give increased turning potential on a pick up as well as a slightly inturned point (creating the illusion of a curve). The medium shank gives the Curved the advantage of being suitable for virtually every bottom bait presentation, and combined with the short point, means that once the hook is in, it is not going to come out easily even under pressure.

The GF Straight Point is at glances almost identical to the Curved, but it has a straight eye and the inturned point is done at a slightly shallower angle. The point on the Straight Point is also longer than the Curved so will go in with minimal pressure required. The crystal bend is pretty much the first hook most anglers turn to, and the Straight Point looks to be perfect for all but the most technical of presentations.

The GF Longshank is bound to attract plenty of fans as without any shadow of a doubt, the aggressive turning potential from a longshank hook gives fantastic hookholds without the need for shrink tube. When you factor in an inturned eye to the equation, the turning potential becomes so aggressive that 99/100 times it is picked up, the fish is pricked in the bottom lip. The straight point of the Longshank also virtually eliminates any possibility of "double hooking" that some longshank patterns are notorious for.

The Wide Gape is your general purpose pattern that can be used for a variety of uses, especially where the fish have softer mouths as the aggressive claw-like point takes an almost vice like grip in the mouth. The slightly inturned eye also leads itself to use with a variety of hooklink materials and presentations - with or without shrink tube.
