The Docks has started to fish better, at last, the warm, for the time of the year, coloured water has got the skimmers and roach feeding, Callum did a feature in the week for Pole Fishing magazine and caught over 30lb, a mixed bag of skimmers, bream and roach, he fished near the Thekla.

Thursday evening match was won by John Macey with 11lb 2oz, the best weight for a long time. John caught skimmers and roach on the pole with maggot. Pete Ellis was second with 7lb 13oz of skimmers on the ground bait feeder.

Jason Bird was third with 6lb 5oz of skimmers on the pole and Dave Clutterbuck was fourth with 5lb 7oz of roach and dace on the pole. Andy Curry was fifth with 4lb 15oz and Pete Sivell was sixth with 3lb.

Throughout this period of heavy rain the docks has continued to fish well in area, its best to fish where other anglers have fished as the fish get used to regular bait going in and they hang around these areas, so if you fancy a days free fishing give the shop a ring and we will put you on the best areas.
