The fishing is starting to improve, at last, and the roach are starting to feed. The water level was constantly up and down for Thursday evening match, along with some colour the roach responded better than they have done for a long time.

Top rod on the night was Jason Bird with a lovely net of roach for 9lb 4oz, all caught on the bottom with pole and maggot, recently most of the fish have been off the bottom with the warm weather. Pete Sivell was second with 5lb 13oz which included a 3lb bream, the rest of his catch were roach.

Third was Pete Ellis with 5lb 10oz, all roach on the roach pole, maggot was the best bait. There was a tie for fourth between John Macey and Andy Curry they both had 5lb 1oz of roach on the pole and Merv Sivell was sixth with 4lb 13oz of roach.
