The fishing this week still hadn't returned to its best form, the majority of the roach havent returned to batlic wharf after spawning, they normally return at the end of July and August sees the best fishing of the year along this stretch.
Conditions wernt easy, there was no wind, no undertow, bright, flat and clear water made the fishing very difficult until the light started to fade and the fish started to feed in the last hour of the match.

First was Merv Sivell with 7-11-0 wich consisted of a 4-4-0 bream, some roach and a few eels, 2nd was the ever consistent Dave Clutterbuck with 4-6-0 which consisted of roach, dace and small perch caught late at 5m as the light was fading. 3rd was Andy Curry with 3-12-0 of roach dace and eels. 4th Pete Ellis 2-15-0, 5th Rob Garland 2-9-0, 6th Jason Bird 2-6-0
