The water is starting to clear, at last, its the first time for months that the match wasn't fished in dirty water, and the fishing was good, a lot of big roach showed, fish between 8-12oz. These fish are in pristine condition with bright red fins and a lovely blue tinge. These big roach are hardly ever caught and I am sure some of these fish live their whole lives without ever getting caught in such a big expanse of water.

Top rod on the night was Pete Sivell with 13lb 9oz of skimmers and roach, caught on the pole with maggot, second was John Macey with 10lb 13oz from the next peg and a similar catch.

Andy Curry was third with 10lb 12oz, his best roach was 1.5lb, he also had some perch in his catch. Dave Clutterbuck was fourth with alb 8oz of roach and dace, all caught on the pole with caster.

Pete Ellis was fifth with 9lb 2oz and Jason Bird had 7lb 1oz for sixth.
