The Powerlite 15/17ft match rod was a top selling rod last year and Maver have improved it even more for 2013.

These long rods have been extremely popular on rivers, where the extra length has made fishing deep water a lot easier, casting is so easy and picking up the line quicker means fewer missed bites.

These rods are also getting used more and more on commercials for fishing down the edge or at the bottom of the near slope, as carp get bigger and bigger on commercials they are becoming too big for poles, so these long rods allow you to land these big fish, without breaking expensive pole sections.

This rod has quality Sic rings throughout and a full cork handle with a winch fitting for the reel.

It has been designed to be used with lines between 3lb and 8lb and cast weights up to 30g.

The rod weighs 275g at 15ft and 312g at 17ft and comes supplied in a quality rod bag.
